Mark W. Tebbets
Mark TebbetsMark has worked in the construction industry for over 45 years. Most recently he worked as the International Code Council's Regional Manager of Government Relations for the Northeast. He was responsible for providing member services, monitoring code adoption activities and conducting training and seminars on the interpretation and application of the International Codes.

Prior to joining ICC, he has worked as a Project Manager and Building Code Official. He is a licensed Building Official in both CT and MA. As a Building and Fire code consultant he addressed building code and fire code issues and served as an expert witness in construction related litigation. As project manager, he was responsible for project development, design consultation, review of sub-contractor bids and coordination of construction schedules.

He has also spent 35 years as a volunteer fire fighter serving many years as lieutenant and secretary for the Fire Dept. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and 17 ICC certifications, including the Certified Building Official and Master Code Professional credentials.

What is an M.C.P.?
MCP stands for Master Code Professional. As one of fewer than 500 MCPs in the United States, Mark represents the best of the best in the building code profession. Individuals that for personal and/or professional reasons sought to achieve the highest certification in their industry. Earning MCP certification requires as many or more than 17 prerequisite exams. Once that goal is achieved, an MCP must take an additional 45 hours of CE units over the course of three years to maintain active status.
